Our Story
Davis Horn Planning is a father and son consulting firm based in Aspen, Colorado, specializing in real estate planning and development throughout the Roaring Fork Valley, Routt County, and beyond.
With more than 50 years' combined experience in city planning, historic preservation, strategic thinking, and community engagement, we bring deep expertise in the City of Aspen's and Pitkin County's land use regulations and design standards, as well as in urban and rural growth management.
Our team includes a certified planner (AICP) and GIS professional holding a Master's in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado Denver, with prior experience reviewing over 200 development proposals for the Town of Silverthorne and Summit County, preparing staff reports, supporting long-range planning and grant work, and producing GIS, AutoCAD, and Adobe graphics.
Rooted on Colorado's Western Slope and working regionally and nationally, we pair a genuine appreciation for the social, cultural, built, and natural character of communities with the coalition building, public engagement, and in-depth analysis needed to deliver high-quality projects that serve both our clients' goals and the public interest.

Principal
As principal, Cody leads every engagement personally, bringing deep familiarity with Aspen, Pitkin County, Routt County and the Western Slope. The approach is hands-on, candid, and oriented toward outcomes that work for the land and the people who'll live with it.
